Labeling Gmail Messages by Email Address

LABELING MESSAGES FOR EASY ORGANIZATION

  1. In the search box at the top of the page, put in deliveredto:, so for example, it would say deliveredto:name@domain.tld. Note that there aren’t any spaces, and click the magnifying glass.
  2. Click the little arrow at the right-side of the search box, and from the menu, choose Create filter with this search.
  3. Check the box next to Apply this label, and from the pull-down, choose New Label.
  4. Name your label something that you will associate with this email address. You’ll most likely leave the Nest label under un-checked, but feel free to use it if you’d like. Nested labels could be thought of as sub-folders. Click Create
  5. Put a check mark in the box next to Apply this label to __ matching conversations.
  6. Click Create Filter.
